I've decided that I just need to sit down and start typing. Who knows what I'll come up with?
Jack is ONE! Here are a list of a few of his favorite things:
Toys: Weeble Wobbles
Book: Goodnight Moon or Pat the Bunny
Activities: #1 -Waving hello to anyone who will look his way. Actually, just waving. He'll wave at you even if you're not looking. #2 - Throwing things on the floor. Paper, food, cups, toys, crayons, crumbs, napkins... you name it, he throws it.
Time of Day: When Jacob gets home from work -- he's all smiles
Food: Raisins... although he'll eat just about anything:

Here's his Schedule:
You are probably not interested in this, but I'm going to want to remember! Jack is still a fabulous night-time sleeper. He takes two great naps, but is a very light sleeper. He wakes up if you walk past his room, and opens his eyes when we check on him every night. Sometimes he even smiles. You'd think we'd quit going in there every night, but he's too cute not to kiss goodnight!
7:00 - Wake, Nurse, Play, Breakfast,
9:00-10:30 - NAP
10:30-1:30- Wake, Lunch, Play
1:30-3:30 - NAP
3:30-Snack, Play
5:30/6:00 - Dinner
7:00 - Nurse/Bedtime
Jack has been an amazingly happy baby. He is content in most situations, is social, and has earned the nickname "Welcome Wagon". When we're out and about he loves to connect with the people around him. He waves at everyone, smiles at strangers, and (I believe) feels as though it is his job to make people happy.
Many strangers have stopped me to tell me that Jack's smile has made their day. They've mentioned that his smile seemed intentional, and that he appeared to by trying cheer them up. What a gift, Jack!
As of his first birthday Jack still wasn't crawling. He recently started reaching for his toys and falling to his belly to try to get closer.... but ended up rolling on the floor. He was so close to putting it all together. Stay tuned for an update!
