One year pictures and stats

I completely forgot to post Audrey's final monthly picture!  It was hard to capture a picture this time around.  We tried on two different days and Jack helped out a lot.  He even tried with my phone while I was using the real camera.

Here are her stats:

length: 72.2cm (2' 4")
weight: 18lb 5oz
head circumference:  46cm

Everything above basically just means that she's really tiny!

Nana also treated us again to pictures by the wonderful Leah Robbins.  Here's a link to some of her favorites.  I love that she captured all of Audrey's faces!

Audrey is 10 months!

Our little stinker is 10 months old!  She's had a busy month and I've taken a lot of pictures.  I know that I should probably put away my phone and not catch every single moment.  But I can't help but want to share every smile and milestone with Jacob while he's at work. He gets a lot of picture texts every day.  So you get to enjoy these pictures, too.

Audrey's been rolling over in her bed and seems to prefer to sleep on her belly.
She's been eating everything in sight.  (Except of course for those darn avocados, and now she's refusing bananas.) I know that she's got a hole in her foot somewhere.  I just can't find it.  This little girl eats all day long.

Sometimes meals get a bit messy:

She's starting to spin around like Jack used to do.

She's a full time thumb sucker and I'm loving it!

This month Audrey got to put on a bathing suit for the first time and splash around at Washington Park.

She's wearing barrettes in her hair.

We've seen Audrey's spunky personality shine this month.  She loves to laugh and smile but will quickly let you know when she's not happy.  She's got a few smiles now.  She wrinkles her nose and gives a huge smile when she's really happy:

Audrey is still fascinated with all things Jack.  She wants to play wherever he's at and I have a feeling that soon she'll be choosing what they do and where they go.

Here is her 10 month picture in the big red chair and some stats from her 9 month appointment two weeks ago:

length: 28in - 75th%
weight: 16lb 10oz - 25th%
head: 45cm - 75th%

And I forgot to mention that on her 10 month birthday she cut her first two teeth!  She's growing up!!!

Audrey: 8 weeks old

Ok, so Audrey is actually 10 weeks old.  I'm behind...again.  And I don't think I ever did a 4 week post.  But did you really think I was going to be good at updating this blog with a newborn?  So here is a quick update:

6 weeks
Wearing Jack's Made in Ohio onesie from Aunt Christy

8 weeks
Wearing her 'Audrey' onesie from Susan Pagliaro

Audrey had a good report during her 8 week check-up.  She was all smiles and put on a good show for the doctor and nurses.  She did not like her shots.  But who does?  Here are her stats:

Weight:  10lb 2oz
Height: 23 inches
Head circumference: 38 1/2cm

I know you're not supposed to compare your children, but I had to look back on Jack's size at this age.  He was always so big, and people frequently comment on how small Audrey looks.  Jack weighed over 13 lbs at 8 weeks.  I was shocked by the huge difference already!

Audrey is now sleeping from 10-7!!! We celebrated last night with her first overnight at Nana's house.  I don't remember when Jack spent the night out, but it was definitely not this early!  Way to go, Audrey!

4 months

Jack hit the four month mark on Saturday. He is growing like crazy and is changing every day.
Today's doctor's visit went well, and I am glad the shots are over for another two months. Here are the stats:
weight:  17 1/4 lbs
height:  27 inches

Leah Robbins came over last week and took Jack's four month pictures.  She does such a wonderful job of capturing his smiles and we love her style of photography.  Thank you Nana Samad for such a priceless gift.  You can check out a few more of the shots on Leah's blog.  Family, if you would like a copy of some of the pictures, please let us know.

We introduced the exersaucer last week.  This picture shows exactly what he thinks about his new toy.  Maybe we'll try it again later!

Last month I started putting Jack to bed with this fleece blanket.  I was hoping that he would soon associate the blanket with bedtime.  I thought this would help him to sleep well if he was going to bed at someone else's house.  Well, the experiment worked.  He loves the blanket and likes the way it feels on his face.  As soon as we put it over him he pulls it up to his face and rubs it against his cheeks.

Check out the before and after shots.

In keeping with tradition, we snapped a shot of Jack in a onesie in the big red chair. This month's onesie: College Hill Coffee Company. Our neighborhood coffee shop is a quick walk from our house and Jack and I have taken a few strolls up there for an afternoon cup of coffee. Jacob and I have enjoyed their live music on the weekends and we like to support this great local business. It is worth the trip to College Hill to check it out.  After you've had some good coffee you should stroll down to Marty's Hops and Vines for a glass of wine or a beer.  It is another wonderful College Hill business that makes our neighborhood unique.

Monthly pictures

Everyone told me that the time will fly by.  It certainly has.  At times it feels like Jack has been around forever and I can't remember how we ever lived life without this joy! He just fits into our family so well.  He has been learning what it is like to be a Samad.   He sits on the counter in his bouncy seat while his daddy cooks in the kitchen.  He has a sat quietly on my lap while I attend Bible study and Thursday Morning Moms.  He loves Sunday night dinners with the family, and enjoys visiting his Grandpa Troescher at Kroger.  Like I said, he just fits.

Here are pictures of Jack at one and two months.  Notice the cool onesies.  The first one came from Aunt Christy and says "Made in Ohio"  The second was made by a great friend.  She embroidered an elephant and his name on the front.  Stay tuned to see which cool onesie he will be wearing next!

He certainly has grown quickly.  Jack's stats at his two month appointment were:
height:  24 1/2 in (90th percentile)
weight:  13lb 2.5 oz (82nd percentile)
